Good Friday

Good Friday is the Christian holy day commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus, observed on the Friday before Easter Sunday.

Passion of Jesus: The events of Jesus’s suffering and death, as recounted in the Christian Gospels. Good Friday commemorates the final events of Jesus’s Passion.
Easter: The Christian feast celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Good Friday is the Friday immediately preceding Easter Sunday.
Veneration of the Cross: A Christian liturgical rite in which worshippers honor a cross as a sign of Jesus’s death. This rite gives physical expression to remembrance of the crucifixion.
