Great Arctic State Nature Reserve

A protected area in northern Siberia, Russia, encompassing Arctic tundra, islands, and coastal waters along the Kara and Laptev seas. It is one of Russia’s largest nature reserves.

Taimyr Peninsula: A large peninsula in northern Siberia between the Kara and Laptev seas. The reserve occupies much of this peninsula’s Arctic coastline and adjoining tundra.
Polar bear: A large Arctic bear adapted to life on sea ice and along northern coasts. The reserve’s coast and islands provide habitat for this emblematic Arctic predator.
