Great Lakes Bantu languages

Great Lakes Bantu languages are Bantu languages spoken around Africa’s Great Lakes, including varieties in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Bantu languages: A large branch of Niger-Congo languages spoken across much of sub-Saharan Africa. Great Lakes languages belong to this broader family and share its inherited grammatical patterns.
Luganda: A Bantu language spoken chiefly in Uganda, especially in the Buganda region. Its large speaker community makes it one of the best-known Great Lakes languages.
