Grégoire Kayibanda

Grégoire Kayibanda was a Rwandan politician who served as the country’s first president from 1962 until his overthrow in 1973.

Parmehutu: A Rwandan political party founded by Hutu activists that led the country after the 1959 revolution. Kayibanda founded and led this party, which became the core of his political power.
