Knowra GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development GUAM is a regional organization of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova that coordinates cooperation on democracy, security, and economic development.
GUAM Consultative Forum : A consultative framework established by Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova in 1997 to coordinate cooperation. This 1997 forum was the organization’s initial form.
GUAM Free Trade Area : A framework among GUAM states for reducing trade barriers and developing trade cooperation. It is the organization’s main route for pursuing economic integration.
TRACECA : A Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor program connecting the European Union with countries across the Black Sea and Central Asia. Its transport links align with GUAM efforts to improve east–west connectivity.
Commonwealth of Independent States : A regional organization formed after the Soviet Union’s dissolution to facilitate cooperation among several former Soviet republics. GUAM offered a smaller, distinct framework rather than relying solely on this broader post-Soviet grouping.

Eurasian Economic Union : An economic union of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, centered on a shared market and economic integration. Its deeper integration and different membership contrast with GUAM’s cooperation-focused model.
GUUAM : The grouping of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Moldova that existed from 1999 to 2005. Uzbekistan’s membership distinguished the earlier five-state format from today’s GUAM.
GUAM Parliamentary Assembly : A forum for parliamentarians from GUAM member states to discuss common political and institutional issues. It adds parliamentary dialogue to cooperation led by governments.
