Guido Reni

Guido Reni (1575–1642) was an Italian Baroque painter known for idealized religious and mythological scenes, including Aurora and The Massacre of the Innocents. His graceful figures and polished compositions shaped the classicizing strand of Baroque art.

Aurora (Guido Reni): A ceiling fresco by Guido Reni depicting Aurora, the Roman goddess of dawn, leading Apollo’s chariot across the sky. Its floating procession displays the grace and classical order central to Reni’s style.
