Guo Ziyi

Guo Ziyi (697–781) was a Tang dynasty general and statesman whose campaigns helped suppress the An Lushan Rebellion and restore imperial authority.

Battle of Suiyang: A prolonged Tang defense of Suiyang against rebel forces during the An Lushan Rebellion. Its fall exposed the crisis that Guo Ziyi’s campaigns could not prevent.
