Knowra Gustav Holst Gustav Holst Gustav Holst (1874–1934) was an English composer, teacher, and conductor best known for the orchestral suite The Planets . His music also drew on English folk song, Sanskrit texts, and unusual rhythmic and harmonic patterns.
