Hamhung

Hamhung is a major city in eastern North Korea, near the coast of the Sea of Japan. It is a regional center for industry, education, and transport.

Yi Seong-gye: Yi Seong-gye was a Korean military commander who founded the Joseon dynasty in 1392. He was born in the Hamhung area, linking the city to Joseon’s founding.
