Hans Krebs

Hans Adolf Krebs (1900–1981) was a German-born British biochemist who discovered the citric acid cycle and shared the 1953 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Fritz Albert Lipmann: A German-American biochemist who discovered coenzyme A and shared the 1953 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Lipmann shared the Nobel Prize with Krebs for discoveries concerning cellular metabolism.
Citric acid cycle: A series of enzyme-catalyzed reactions that oxidizes acetyl-CoA and regenerates oxaloacetate. Krebs’s best-known discovery maps this cycle’s sequence of reactions.
