Harper's Weekly

Harper's Weekly was an American illustrated news magazine published from 1857 to 1916. Its engravings and reporting documented politics, war, and everyday life, especially during the Civil War.

Civil War: The United States’ 1861–1865 conflict over secession and slavery. The magazine’s wartime reporting and images became a major record of the conflict.
