Harrison Schmitt

Harrison Schmitt is an American geologist, Apollo 17 astronaut, and former U.S. senator. He was the first professional scientist to walk on the Moon.

Apollo 17: The 1972 NASA mission that carried the last crew to land on the Moon. Schmitt explored the lunar surface as its lunar module pilot.
