Heidelberg School

An Australian art movement of the late nineteenth century, associated with plein-air painting and artists including Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton.

Tom Roberts: An Australian painter and leading Heidelberg School artist known for naturalistic landscapes and scenes of rural life. His plein-air practice and works such as Shearing the Rams helped define the movement.
