Helen Clark

Helen Clark is a New Zealand politician who served as prime minister from 1999 to 2008 and later as administrator of the United Nations Development Programme.

New Zealand Labour Party: A centre-left political party that has formed multiple governments in New Zealand. Clark led Labour to victory in 1999 and remained its leader through her premiership.
Prime Minister of New Zealand: The head of government in New Zealand, normally the leader able to command a parliamentary majority. Clark held this office for three consecutive parliamentary terms.
United Nations Development Programme: A United Nations agency that supports development efforts and coordinates work on poverty reduction and governance. Clark led the agency as administrator from 2009 to 2017.
Working for Families: A New Zealand tax-credit and income-support package introduced in 2004 for families with children. The package became one of Clark’s government’s most prominent anti-poverty policies.
