Henry

The henry is the SI derived unit of inductance, equal to one weber per ampere. A circuit has an inductance of one henry when a current change of one ampere per second induces one volt.

Inductance: A property of an electrical circuit that measures how strongly changing current induces electromotive force. The henry measures this property.
SI derived unit: An SI unit formed as a product of powers of SI base units. The henry is derived from the SI units for voltage and current.

Weber: The SI derived unit of magnetic flux, equal to one volt-second. The henry’s definition uses the weber as its numerator.
Electromotive force: Energy supplied per unit electric charge by a source or induced effect. Inductance relates changing current to induced electromotive force.
