Knowra Henryk Wieniawski Henryk Wieniawski Henryk Wieniawski (1835–1880) was a Polish violinist and composer whose Romantic works combine virtuoso technique with lyrical melody. His compositions include two violin concertos and the Légende.
Violin concerto : A concerto is a work in which a solo instrument performs with an orchestra, often in contrasting movements. Wieniawski’s two concertos place the solo violin at the center of large-scale orchestral works.
Violin Concerto No. 1 (Wieniawski) : Henryk Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in F-sharp minor, Op. 14, is a three-movement work composed in 1853. It shows his early approach to the concerto as both a virtuoso vehicle and a dramatic structure.
