Herbert Chapman

Herbert Chapman (1878–1934) was an English football manager who won league titles with Huddersfield Town and Arsenal. He reshaped tactics, club organization, and the public presentation of football.

Henry Norris: An English politician and football administrator who chaired Arsenal during Herbert Chapman’s managerial tenure. As Arsenal chairman, he backed the club’s growth before Chapman arrived.
WM formation: A football formation created after the 1925 offside-law change, with three defenders, two half-backs, and five forwards. Chapman adapted the formation to strengthen Arsenal’s defense without abandoning counterattacks.
Arsenal F.C.: A professional football club based in north London, founded in 1886. Chapman’s Arsenal won its first major trophies and became a national force.
