Hergé

Hergé was the pen name of Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi (1907–1983), creator of The Adventures of Tintin and a major figure in European comics.

The Adventures of Tintin: A comic series following reporter Tintin and his companions through adventures across the world. Hergé’s best-known work grew from his evolving methods as a cartoonist.
Georges Remi: The Belgian cartoonist who worked under the pen name Hergé. Hergé formed his pseudonym from the French pronunciation of Remi’s initials.
Fanny Rodwell: A Belgian colorist and Hergé’s second wife, who later led the Hergé Foundation. She helped preserve and manage Hergé’s artistic estate after his death.
