Herman Wouk

Herman Wouk (1915–2019) was an American novelist and playwright known for The Caine Mutiny and the World War II novels The Winds of War and War and Remembrance.

The Caine Mutiny: Herman Wouk’s 1951 novel about a U.S. Navy destroyer-minesweeper crew and the court-martial of its executive officer. This Pulitzer Prize-winning novel became Wouk’s best-known work and brought naval command into public debate.
