Herod Antipas

Herod Antipas was a son of Herod the Great and tetrarch of Galilee and Perea from 4 BCE to 39 CE. His rule intersected with the ministries of John the Baptist and Jesus.

Herod the Great: Herod the Great was king of Judea under Roman authority from 37 to 4 BCE. Antipas inherited a share of his father’s kingdom after Herod the Great’s death.
