Hierarchical equations of motion

Hierarchical equations of motion are coupled differential equations that model quantum dynamics with memory by tracking a reduced system together with auxiliary operators encoding its environment.

Lindblad equation: A Markovian master equation in the standard form that preserves complete positivity of quantum states. Its memoryless framework is simpler but cannot generally reproduce the hierarchy’s non-Markovian effects.
