Hieratic

Hieratic is a cursive script used chiefly to write Egyptian texts on papyrus, pottery, and other portable materials. It developed from hieroglyphic writing and was used for administrative, literary, and religious texts.

Egyptian hieroglyphs: A writing system that uses logographic, syllabic, and alphabetic signs in ancient Egyptian texts. Hieratic signs are cursive adaptations of hieroglyphic forms.
