Hiroshima Peace Memorial

A preserved building in Hiroshima that survived the 1945 atomic bombing and commemorates its victims. Also called the Atomic Bomb Dome, it is part of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall: The 1915 exhibition hall in Hiroshima whose damaged remains are now known as the Atomic Bomb Dome. This was the building’s original name and civic purpose before the bombing.
