Home Run

A home run is a baseball hit that allows the batter to circle all four bases and score without being put out. A ball hit over the outfield fence in fair territory is an automatic home run.

Fair ball: A batted ball that lands or is touched in fair territory under baseball's rules. A ball must be fair to count as a home run.
