Horace Bénédict de Saussure

Horace Bénédict de Saussure (1740–1799) was a Swiss naturalist, geologist, and Alpine explorer. His mountain expeditions, precise measurements, and scientific instruments advanced the study of geology, meteorology, and high-altitude environments.
