Iftar

Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims end each day’s fast during Ramadan, traditionally at sunset. It may be shared at home, in mosques, or at community gatherings.

Ramadan: Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, observed by Muslims through fasting and worship. Iftar marks the daily end of fasting during this month.
Dates in Islam: Dates are fruits traditionally eaten by many Muslims to break the fast, following reports about the Prophet Muhammad. They are a familiar first food at iftar, though not required.
