Ilkhanate

The Ilkhanate was a Mongol khanate that ruled Persia and neighboring territories from the mid-13th century until 1335, when its central authority collapsed.

Hulagu Khan: A Mongol prince who founded the Ilkhanate and led its campaigns in western Asia. His conquest of Persia established the dynasty’s power.
