Incendiary weapon

An incendiary weapon is designed to start fires or cause burns through heat and flame. It uses combustion or another heat-producing reaction to ignite materials or injure people.

Thermite: A mixture of metal powder and metal oxide that reacts exothermically, producing intense heat and molten metal. Thermite produces heat through a chemical reaction rather than burning fuel in air.
Greek fire: A Byzantine incendiary mixture used in naval warfare, especially from the seventh century onward. It became a renowned early weapon for projecting fire against ships.
