Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego

The largest island in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, at South America’s southern tip. It is divided between Argentina and Chile and separated from the mainland by the Strait of Magellan.

Strait of Magellan: A navigable passage between mainland South America and the Tierra del Fuego archipelago. It separates the island from the mainland and provides its principal northern boundary.
Ushuaia: A city on Argentina’s southern coast of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego. It is the island’s best-known city and a major port.
