Ismoil Somoni Peak

Ismoil Somoni Peak is a 7,495-meter mountain in Tajikistan, the highest point in the country and the Pamir Mountains.

1933 Soviet Pamir Expedition: A Soviet mountaineering expedition that made the first confirmed ascent of Ismoil Somoni Peak. Its 1933 summit success established the peak as a major objective for Soviet climbers.
