Jack Lemmon

Jack Lemmon (1925–2001) was an American actor known for combining comic timing with emotionally vulnerable dramatic performances in film, television, and theatre.

Some Like It Hot: A 1959 comedy film in which two musicians disguise themselves as women to escape gangsters. Lemmon’s performance as Jerry earned him an Academy Award nomination and helped define his comic screen persona.
Billy Wilder: An Austrian-born American filmmaker known for films including Double Indemnity, Some Like It Hot, and The Apartment. Wilder directed Lemmon in seven films, including two of his defining comedies.
