Jack London

Jack London (1876–1916) was an American novelist, journalist, and short-story writer whose adventure fiction drew on frontier life, travel, and social conflict.

The Call of the Wild: Jack London’s 1903 novel follows a domesticated dog adapting to life in the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush. Its dog Buck embodies the novel’s conflict between domestication and survival.
