Jacobus Henricus van ’t Hoff

Jacobus Henricus van ’t Hoff was a Dutch chemist whose work helped establish stereochemistry, chemical kinetics, and the modern theory of solutions. He received the first Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1901.
