James Matheson

James Matheson (1796–1878) was a Scottish merchant and politician who co-founded the Hong Kong trading firm Jardine, Matheson & Co. in 1832.

William Jardine: A Scottish surgeon and merchant who co-founded Jardine, Matheson & Co. with James Matheson. Jardine was Matheson’s business partner and co-founder of the firm.
