James Wolfe

James Wolfe (1727–1759) was a British Army officer who led the British assault that captured Quebec during the Seven Years’ War.

Battle of the Plains of Abraham: The 1759 battle outside Quebec in which British forces defeated the French and both commanders, Wolfe and Montcalm, died. Wolfe’s decisive victory came on these fields, where he was mortally wounded.
