Jane Addams

Jane Addams (1860–1935) was an American social reformer and pacifist who co-founded Chicago’s Hull House and shared the 1931 Nobel Peace Prize.

Hull House: A Chicago settlement house co-founded by Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr in 1889 to serve immigrant neighborhoods. Addams built her best-known reform institution here, combining services with civic and cultural programs.
Ellen Gates Starr: An American social reformer and educator who co-founded Hull House with Jane Addams. Starr was Addams's original partner in establishing Hull House.
