Jenny Lind

Jenny Lind (1820–1887) was a Swedish opera singer celebrated internationally as the “Swedish Nightingale.” Her performances and tours made her one of the nineteenth century’s best-known musical celebrities.

P. T. Barnum: An American showman and businessman who built a museum and promoted touring performers, including Jenny Lind. He organized Lind’s highly publicized American tour beginning in 1850.
