Jody Williams

Jody Williams is an American political activist who received the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for leading an international campaign to ban anti-personnel landmines.

International Campaign to Ban Landmines: A coalition founded in 1992 that campaigned for a global ban on anti-personnel landmines. Williams served as the coalition’s founding coordinator and helped direct its international advocacy.
