Joe Weider

Joe Weider (1919–2013) was a Canadian-American bodybuilding entrepreneur who co-founded the Mr. Olympia contest and built a fitness publishing and supplement business.

Mr. Olympia: An annual professional bodybuilding contest established in 1965 by Joe and Ben Weider. The contest became the flagship event of the competitive bodybuilding world Weider helped build.
Weider training principles: A set of resistance-training guidelines promoted by Joe Weider, including progressive overload, isolation, and muscle confusion. These principles packaged training advice for the readers of Weider’s magazines.
