Johann Pachelbel

Johann Pachelbel (1653–1706) was a German Baroque composer and organist whose works include the widely known Canon in D.

Canon in D: A chamber work by Johann Pachelbel built over a repeating bass and famous for its imitative voices. This is the work that made Pachelbel’s name widely familiar.
