John Elway

John Elway is a former NFL quarterback and executive who led the Denver Broncos to two Super Bowl victories as a player.

The Drive: A 98-yard touchdown drive by the Denver Broncos against the Cleveland Browns in the 1987 AFC Championship Game. Elway’s late-game drive became the signature playoff moment of his early career.
Quarterback: An offensive position in American football that directs plays and usually handles the snap. Elway played the position through 16 NFL seasons, becoming its defining figure in Denver.
