John L. Hall

John L. Hall is an American physicist known for precision laser spectroscopy and optical frequency metrology. He shared the 2005 Nobel Prize in Physics for contributions to the development of laser-based precision spectroscopy.

Theodor W. Hänsch: German physicist who shared the 2005 Nobel Prize in Physics for precision laser spectroscopy. Hall and Hänsch independently advanced optical frequency-comb methods recognized by the same Nobel Prize.
