John Winthrop

John Winthrop (1588–1649) was an English Puritan lawyer who led the migration that founded the Massachusetts Bay Colony and served as its governor.

Thomas Dudley: An English Puritan who served as deputy governor and governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Dudley accompanied Winthrop’s 1630 migration and shared the colony’s early leadership.
