Jordan Valley

The Jordan Valley is a rift valley along the Jordan River, extending from the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea across Jordan, Israel, and the West Bank.

Dead Sea Transform: A major geological fault system marking the boundary between the African and Arabian plates. This plate boundary formed the valley’s long, fault-controlled basin.
Arabian Plate: A tectonic plate carrying the Arabian Peninsula and parts of the Levant. Its motion relative to the African Plate drives deformation along the valley.
