Jørn Utzon

Jørn Utzon (1918–2008) was a Danish architect whose designs combined sculptural forms with ideas drawn from nature, culture, and construction. His best-known work is the Sydney Opera House.

Sydney Opera House: A performing-arts venue in Sydney, Australia, known for its sail-like roof shells and harbor setting. Utzon designed the building, whose roof geometry became his defining architectural achievement.
Kay Fisker: A Danish architect and educator associated with modern housing and Scandinavian architectural traditions. Fisker taught Utzon at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
Ove Arup: A Danish-British engineer and founder of the engineering firm Arup. Arup's engineering team developed solutions for the Opera House's complex roof shells.
