Juan Pablo Duarte

Juan Pablo Duarte was a Dominican revolutionary who helped organize the movement for independence from Haitian rule and founded the secret society La Trinitaria.

Francisco del Rosario Sánchez: A Dominican revolutionary who helped proclaim independence from Haiti in 1844 and became a leading political and military figure. He helped carry forward the independence cause during Duarte’s absence from the country.
