Judaean Mountains

The Judaean Mountains are a mountain range in the southern Levant, extending through central Israel and the West Bank between the coastal plain and the Jordan Rift Valley.

Judean Hills: The rugged central and western uplands of the Judaean Mountains, including slopes around Jerusalem and Hebron. They form the range’s best-known central uplands.
Judea and Samaria Hills: The central highland region of the West Bank, extending through much of the Judaean and Samarian uplands. This highland belt continues the range northward.

Coastal Plain of Israel: A lowland strip along Israel’s Mediterranean coast, west of the central highlands. It lies beyond the mountains’ western escarpment.
Jerusalem Mountains: The mountainous area surrounding Jerusalem in the central Judaean highlands. They occupy the central ridge and include the range’s highest urban terrain.
