July Monarchy

The constitutional monarchy in France under Louis-Philippe, established after the July Revolution of 1830 and ended by the Revolution of 1848.

Charter of 1830: The constitutional document that established the political framework of Louis-Philippe’s French monarchy. It defined royal powers and civil liberties after the July Revolution.
July Revolution: The three-day Paris uprising of July 1830 that overthrew Charles X. It directly brought Louis-Philippe to the throne.
