Green growth : An approach that seeks economic growth alongside reduced environmental pressures and greenhouse-gas emissions. It emphasizes reconciling growth and decarbonization; just transition adds explicit distributional and worker protections.
Worker retraining : Education or training that prepares workers for different occupations or changing job requirements. Reskilling can help workers move into lower-carbon industries, though it cannot replace broader job guarantees.
Labor movement : Organized collective action by workers seeking improved rights, conditions, and influence over economic life. The just-transition framework draws on labor's longstanding claims to security and worker voice.
