Kansai region

A region of western Japan centered on Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, commonly called Kansai or Kinki. Its boundaries vary by context, but it usually includes Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, Shiga, and Wakayama.

Osaka Prefecture: A prefecture in western Japan centered on Osaka city and the surrounding urban region. It is Kansai’s principal population and economic center.
Osaka: A major Japanese city and the commercial center of the Kansai metropolitan area. Its urban core anchors the region’s largest concentration of people and business.
